Civil & Ports
ECNZ provides end-to-end civil and structural engineering solutions for port, transport, and industrial infrastructure projects. Expertise includes port laydown areas, transport corridors, pavements, drainage, utilities, access roads, and interfaces with marine, rail, and roading infrastructure. Includes port wide mechanical systems, mooring systems and equipment along with all related electrical, communications, and safety systems.
Civil & Ports
Buildings & Stores
ECNZ conducts structural assessments of existing stores and buildings, evaluating compliance with seismic codes and estimating remaining service life. Engineering options and budget costings are developed to support decision-making. ECNZ also manages subsequent demolition, remediation, or construction projects to extend asset life safely and cost-effectively.
Roading & Pavements
ECNZ designs and manages internal heavy vehicle roads and storage yards, including log yards and general-purpose areas. Pavement solutions include asphalt, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and chip seal surfaces, tailored for 24/7 operational port environments.
Asbestos Removal
ECNZ has managed long-term asbestos removal programs, safely demolishing redundant buildings and structures while handling ACM (asbestos-containing materials) in compliance with health and safety regulations. Projects have ranged from small offices to large stores and ship loading gantries.
Mechanical
ECNZ investigates mechanical safety, performance, and efficiency challenges across port operations, including ship tensioning systems, bollards and ship mooring equipment, weighbridges, log trailer loading equipment, wind protection structures, and pipelines. Services include developing engineering options with costings, detailed design and project management of final solutions.
